Snack Attack
Make the right choices, eat healthy!
School days usually end earlier than workdays, so you would
probably spend some time at home alone after school. The good
news is that you’re old enough to go to the kitchen and feed
yourselves. That’s the bad news too. Because I know that you are not
interested in making the healthiest of choices when you are hungry
and you’ll just take anything that’s convenient – I know I will! It is
very easy to reach out for a bag of potato chips, grab a coke or soft
drink or bring home some fast food.
Bear in mind that good snacks like fresh fruits refuel your body and
give important nutrients. Poorly nourished snacks add extra sugar,
saturated fats, and sodium to your body. And if the portions aren’t
controlled, these snacks may ruin your appetite for your healthy
family dinner later.
