Asian Sensations
These exceptional creatures featured here have inspired us with their peculiarity, ingenuity and audacity.
The rich diversity of Asia’s animal kingdom is truly something to
marvel at. Yet, many species share an unfortunate common point –
their survival is threatened by loss of habitat, poaching, and other human activities.
ASIATIC BLACK BEAR
Also known as the Moon bear for its white crescent-shaped marking
on its chest, the Asiatic black bear loves forests and mountainous areas
and is a very good tree climber.
The Asiatic black bear is an omnivore, which means it will eat fruits and
vegetables as well as birds, fish, and small animals. Because of their
size, they have few predators, and can get away quickly by climbing
trees. These bears are also known to be aggressive and will attack when
provoked or startled.
