POSB Stands
by the Little Ones
More than 3,500 people including 1,000
children turned up for the inaugural POSB
Run for Kids on Sunday 12 July 2009. They
pounded along Sengkang East Drive for a
worthy cause despite a heavy downpour just
before the run.
POSB Run for Kids underscores POSB’s
commitment to nurturing the next generation.
Through this charity event, a total of $250,000
was raised. These funds were channeled
equally to the Singapore Children’s Society and
an education welfare fund for primary school
children managed by the Punggol Central
Community Club. This welfare fund (matched
dollar for dollar by the North East Community
Development Council) goes towards covering
school and enrichment programme fees of
needy students in 19 primary schools in Pasir
Ris Punggol GRC.
